Salsa Verde
This was my first time to ever make salsa. I dont know why i've waited so long! This is DELICIOUS and so easy!
First: Peal and wash about a lb of tomatillos. Slice in half.
Next: Roast tomatillos and 2 jalapenos with oil and salt at 400 for about 10-15 min. (Make sure to put tomatillos flesh side down)
While that is roasting, chop a bunch of cilantro, half a large onion, and 3-4 cloves of garlic.
Add ALL the ingredients into a blender. Add salt and pepper and the juice of 2 limes. Blend until smooth.

ReplyDeleteit is SOOOOOOO good. it's pretty much gone already :( so sad
ReplyDeleteIt could have been hotter (spice). Delicious though.
ReplyDeleteI agree...the recipe only called for 1 jalapeno...i guess you never know how hot they will be. Next time i will add 4.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd throw some sour cream in this, too. Make it kind of creamy. Ummm.....
